Personally it is not worth fussing over... I know what I heard on one channel while you were watching another. One of the networks have it wrong... not you and I, so why fuss over it?

If this report is true, the Iraqis will just claim that the U.S. somehow shot and killed them during the seige of Nasareyah with their bombs. Or make up some other sort of excuse for the Arab Street. (Not that the street would probably care.) I just hope that MSNBC is wrong here and that we get all of our POWs back.

The Saudis are very much complicit in that viciousness, by the way. They have absolutely no interest in seeing the truth going out to their population. The Wahabbis are feeding it intentionally.

I heard one story which said she spoke with her parents last night....

Shiite.

There were 8 or 9 marines that died trying to rescue
the Army folks earlier. So this may be a combination
of Army and Marines.

Do you have a link that confirms that? I've heard that rumor several times today, but never saw it confirmed.

The lying propaganda by Al-Jazeera and the rest of the Arab press is vicious.Yes, and the "Arab Street" is eating it up. Al-Jazeera happily runs all Iraqi propaganda shows in full (such as the daily parade of "civilians injured by American bombs"), and then the only thing the Arab viewers notice is that when Torie Clarke gets in front of her podium to deal with the hostile press, she sends condolences to the families of dead US soldiers but not to dead Iraqis. MSNBC's report made this very clear.
We cannot win the propaganda war, IMHO. The Arabs are so viruently anti-Western world that most of them will always hate us.

Fox confirmed the number as 11. Reiterated that they have a team that is conducting DNA tests. Not ready to confirm MSNBC.

Oh that BASTARD Shuster. Now he's backtracking just a tad and saying "POSSIBLY many, most or all are of Americans" (emphasis mine). This is 100% different from what he reported last half hour and the headline both read by Alex Witt and displayed on-screen at the top of the hour.

That too, but it is a different kind and level of malignity.

These people are before all else totally unprofessional.
They should be fired for their brainlessness and callousness.
To: EternalVigilance
Fox now saying 2 US Soldiers and 8 Iraqis.

Shuster changed his story. We might as well believe Fox; at least they're reporting the same thing from one moment to the next.

Why I do NOT trust PMSNBC !

We cannot win the propaganda war, IMHO. The Arabs are so viruently anti-Western world that most of them will always hate us. True. But there have to be steps we can take against the purveyors of demonic lies.
