Well MSNBC just broke this from Centcom, maybe FOX is behind because MSNBC was reporting the same info as FOX until a few minutes ago.

From the BBC:

0550: US forces who rescued Private Lynch also found the bodies of two US soldiers and eight Iraqi troops, the US military says - it is not clear if they died in the operation or were already dead.

The math seems to make sense, but one would hope if the Iraqis were stupid enough to show the four POWs on TV from that regiment that they would not be idiotic enough to kill them because of the negative PR reaction. But then again, they are a bunch of thugs who don't care much about the Geneva convention.

I tend to dismiss the first reports...FNC made the announcment after PMSNBC did, soooooooo ... :-)

The bodies were in shallopw graves AND the possible 2 Americans were almost unrecognizable. :-(

If the BBC told me the sky was blue, I'd check before I believed them.

That young lady is going to have some valuable information....I am *extremely* surprised they didn't kill her too.

I'm not surprised. During the Operation Desert Storm, the Iraqis took great delight in raping female POWs.

I'm hearing she was far worse off than was originally reported. Not just multiple gunshot wounds, but lots of the concurring injuries you'd expect after several bullets and a week and a half in what passes for a "hospital" in Iraq. Arguably near death when found, but will survive.

Of course, this news might change too. I won't believe anything for certain until I see someone standing behind CENTCOM's whizbang million-buck podium telling us.

Your reasoning is why I always feared most for Lynch and Lori, the Hopi girl from AZ, the most. I figured the photographed prisoners had a better chance of making it through.

But the Iraqis are in full bestiality mode. I don't think they care.

MSNBC just broke in with this new information... it is possible that information that other resources have is out of date, or maybe MSNBC has false new information. But since about 10pm they have been saying 8 Iraqis and 2 Americans, up until just few minutes ago when they broke in with what they called new information from Centcom

If they did kill the POW's that would be just another indication that Saddam is dead. He loves media shows and would have kept them alive for some sick display.

Film the whole thing and broadcast it throughout the Arab world.

Don't worry, every Arab with so much as a paper cut is now getting their own live hour on Al-Jazeera. MSNBC ran a great piece about a half hour ago showing how wildly anti-American and flat-out pro-Saddam Al-Jazeera is.

These animals understand nothing but brute force.

They are in the process of experiencing a dose of "pure understanding"!

The lying propaganda by Al-Jazeera and the rest of the Arab press is vicious.
