You know, I am suddenly remembering that President Bush practices political ju-jitsu: he uses the antagonism to leverage his own point of view.

I think that we are seeing this is action. He has divided the press amongst themselves with the use of the embedded reporters, he has shown the American people what clymers they are, and he is using their negativity against the administration and the military to spread disiinformation to the Iraqis.

Heheheh. By the time they wake up, we will be in Baghdad and the press will be the lowest of the low to the general public.

I think you're right, and I definitely have a sense that he's used it on the press this time! I think we're also beginning to see the pressure of real public opinion finally making itself felt, not just that of the media manipulating hate America crowd.

CNN has a red cross "official" (sounds Arab maybe, hard to grip the accent) and he is going on and on about 100's of civ casualties and deaths at some location. The guys last name is Benjamin I think. Typical guest of CNN, but this could get snapped up and chewed around by the media quickly.
