I do not believe we are going to have a major "being sucked in" episode of Baghdad fighting. I agree. I don't think it will be any more intense than Basra. The unknown, in my mind, is Chem/Bio.
Do you think we'll have Saddam International within 24 hours? CENTCOM rolled film of bombing command and control structures at that asset.

Chem Bio is scary even if we're protected. What if he infects his population to 1) Blame it on us and, 2) Snow us with civilian casualties?

Do you think we'll have Saddam International within 24 hours? Not overly likely. That's what the Medina/Nebechenezzar are protecting. In any case, I wouldn't immediately announce we got the airport.

Heheheh ... CENTCOM denying this is a 2-prong attack. It is a multiple-prong attack (on Bag: referring to 3 ID and I MEF)! Many of them you do not see. Yessir, we like that.

Hopefully, the Iraqi generals will realize "it's over" and, if they use chem/bio, they will face tribunal afterward, so they refrain. Of course, Saddam, realizing his fate is determined (assuming he is still alive and issuing commands), would probably just as well destroy many millions of innocent citizens of Bagdad in a blazing finale.
