Marines yesterday created an airstrip from a modern highway outside Baghdad. They "shaved" a 3,500-ft strip of highway of all signs, concrete barriers and other obstacles. Then a fuel-laden C-130 cargo plane landed, providing a huge forward fuel base for U.S. troops.

Did they use duct tape? ;)

I would be interested in hearing if that "duct tape" story is mentioned in seriousness again.

How would you like to land a fuel laden C-130?
