That's money stolen from the cupboards and medicine cabinets of the Iraqi people, and that's coming back if I'm in charge. Money is needed to fund irrigation projects, medical equipment and to rebuild the Baghdad and Basrah airport and rail infrastructures Saddam destroyed pre-liberation - to start. I cannot wait until we rip open that rat's nest of Oil For Food, and gaze upon the absoute corruption and criminality of the U.N. and the usual soapless and soulless suspects.
By the way, I'm not a "Kumbaya" kinda guy, but a stable and closely supervised Islamic state in that part of the world, in this time, is an absolute national security priority for America. We can't go through all this and let Iraq degenerate into the Balkans or Central Africa after the snooty white guys took all they could carry and split. The stupid Palestinians and the great unwashed of the Arab "Street" are going to hate us forever, but Iraq gives us the springboard to make sure that hatred doesn't slime its way to our back yard.
Another point.....we should sign a military treaty with the new Iraq asap...giving us a few airbases....we already have 'em..then we don't need Incilrik or the base in Saudi Arabia...
