An Iraqi man flashes the victory sign, right, as he approaches a checkpoint ... I thought that looked more like the peace sign than the victory sign. Isn't the victory sign shown by turning the hand around?
Either way its a cool picture in support of the cause but I am just curious

The only sign that I know of where you turn your hand around, uses just one out of those two fingers.
I call it my Saddam salute.
