Since Geraldo doing that was a violation, MS-NBC showing it must also be a violation of the rules of embedding. Maybe the Pentagon should toss all MS-NBC reporters out of theater for continuing to break the rules.

... what is known by my children as the "mother sweep",that was usually in the car when I yelled "Quit fighting" and swept my right arm back sweeping the back seat with blows to everything not crunched down. They say it was cruel and abusive. We usuallly drove in peace after that. Who said violence never solves anything?

I apologize. If you need help, I'll be there. What's the trailer park address? :-))
I'm just an 'Oscar' kind'a guy, like in the "Odd Couple"...a crusty old man with a faithful foil named Felix.
Peace. Mustang sends from "Malpaso" News.

They just want to change the story from Arnett to Geraldo and the ratings king, FNC.
I saw that Geraldo bit...didn't see anything other embedded reporters haven't basically done.
Just an hour ago or so Bloom on MSNBC was reporting the 3rd ID was moving from Karbala towards BAG and were 10-15 miles out.

Another agreement, it was nice. For the most part I don't really mind Greta. She did a great job with the Syrian diplomat the other night. Even when I disagree with her, she isn't strident and pretty fair in a debate, giving people a chance to at least address the issue.

This post was taken off the 'F18 shot down' thread- not a hard source confirmation entirely... awaiting CENTCOM verification- (apparently CENTCOM contacted media and requested that they stop reporting on shoot down until they recovered pilot as S&R was underway)

To: OldFriend
theyve recovered the pilot, the pentagon gave them the go ahead to report the story now, that explains that.

Think about bypassed and surrounded pockets of resistance. Think about rapid forward movement. Major assets 'en masse' only work over major objective assets. Have you ever studied military tactics? You might be one of those who worry about a 'retreat into Baghdad'. These pockets CANNOT retreat to Baghdad now. We have bypassed AND surrounded those 'pockets'. Taking out those pockets STILL reqire air cover. If I have misread your comment, please clarify.

You have misread my comments!
Actually, I fully agree with your military views.
In the morning, when we learn that the 101st and 82nd Airborn divisions are fighting OUT of Baghdad, I would not be surprized.

Arrrgh. I leave for a few hours, come back, and billowing smoke on the Raghdad Cam all over the place. Did anyone see what happened?
To: unaffiliated1
Yup, I replied before I left for some productive work. Things have been DEVELOPING. Just think, it MIGHT be cover too. Ever consider the hypocrasy(SP?) coming out of Saddam's gang has so gotten to a few of al-Jazz that they started to report SOME real facts out? That even they MIGHT be seeing some truth? Be patient. We at FR keep on top of BREAKING news and welcome updates.

The passing of a patriot should not go unnoticed, or unremarked; especially when that patriot was a fellow FReeper.
Our friend LBGA has passed on, I regret to report; and her last post to FR is on this thread:

Thanks all of you for your thanks. I'll pass them on to my son before he leaves this evening.
Please ping me if something big happens.
