I would give anything to know what is happening around Baghdad with our troops,,it is so awful not to know.

My guess is, al jazeera may have reported on the facts (gasp, shock) and ticked off these criminals. It's a stretch, I know. A kind of reverse Arnett / Rivera journalistic slip. In this hypothetical, a lurch towards the truth, instead of more propaganda.

I seriously doubt they are able to move them around. We cover every inch of sand from the air.
It was probably hiding in a hospital or school.
Your total speculation is no better so does that make you also a "nitwit"?

Quite a few thuds on CBS cam. If the birds go silent and start falling from the sky you'll know that they've released the gas...
To: Fledermaus
I still wonder if they didn't have "Insider information" and decided to get out of the field accordingly. I hadn't heard the level of detail that you describe about the reporters though. Just heard they were kicked out.

Uh, hello, I believe anti-aircraft missiles can "shoot down"
American planes

Sorry, i misinterpreted what you said.

I think the reality is that even Al Jeezra would find it hard not to take images of M1A1's sitting on the outskirts of Baghdad, and then the Iraqi propaganda machine's only remaining tool would be used against them. Better to get Al Jeezra out before they can broadcast images of the coming Iraqi defeat to the locals.

it is so awful not to know.Yes it is. I have this urge to throw myself between the troops on the battlefield and the press (aiming my broom at the press, of course). Sigh.

I think you misread his message just like I did. I think what he meant was if we weren't bombing there would be no planes to be shot down.

Any new word on the F/A-18?
To: bootyist-monk
It will be interesting to see how al jazeera plays it when the doo doo hits the reciprocating device.

Our guys showed one concealed in the rear of a school yard and said it was typical of what they do.
