I think this episode re: Jessica will result in a large amount of young women enlisting - the image / stereotype has been around too long that our women in all branches of service are "butch" ..I don't think there will be a large amount of fear on their parts.........but I think their parents will go crazy! We have many young women who are in work that is very unfilling & they see this now as a way to make an important contribution.
Although there are some who may be more masculine.. most are all women.. Just like there are a few of our men who may lean a little towards a gentle/female demure. God made us all different ..
God Bless them all & I personally thank them for their service.

According to GlobalSecurity.org, we have approximately 18,000 in the 3rd ID (Mech).
They also list the 4th MID as having about 17,000 to deploy and the 1st Armored Div as having about 17,000 to deploy.
They may be leaving some at home, but I thought those numbers were about right.

Did you see his restaurant tab the other night? I don't think so.

There will be no post-war recession, provided that we get the tax cut through and make it retroactive to January 1, 2003. Critical.

He's untouchable and you know it.

Let him talk on and on. Won't make a damn bit of difference to the Administration, and it makes Jackson look like Hell.

CBS cam is kind of a lousy view, ground level zoomed in on the row of posts on the Baghadilly Circus roundabout..BOOOOM.. You can see intemittent AA bursts and an occasional 37mm or 57mm AA shell tracer arc up diagonally occasionally, ammo might be rationed because it seems very sporadic. NTV cam has foreign correspondents close to camera..BOOM..so they are quite loud when making reports ( mainly Italian). They also cut in with strange raw feeds of Iraqi propoganda; the downed British drone, shot up vehicles, and goofy music vids...(Boom again)
Realplayer 225k
http://62.156.242.10/cgi-bin/redirNTV?user=ntv&type=live&name=livecam_300_new.rm The view is in an general E/SE direction, several hundred feet to the left of the CBS cam and higher up. Kachunk.

"the image / stereotype has been around too long that
our women in all branches of service are "butch""
I have to share this... when I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1977, my mother was highly upset and informed me that only two kinds of women joined the military, whores and lesbians. I gave her a sour look and asked, "which would you like me to be?" Then I ran for my life. (She was scary).
