Now Apple is rotten to the gore. Perhaps Gates will counter by putting BJ on the board.

Now Apple is rotten to the gore.

I like it. I assume you are referring to the villain in the Tom Terrific cartoons, Crabby Appleton, who was rotton to the core.

> Now Apple is rotten to the gore.

Three weeks ago, I doubt any of us could name an AAPL Board
member other than Steve Jobs. Now we can, and that is not
promising news for Apple.

By nominating this lightning rod (Gore), they have needlessly
polarized their already-too-small customer base.

Did they imagine that they would capture an untapped customer
base consisting of Gore supporters or other naive people who
bought Gore's self-serving imaginary image as an ubergeek?

Did they think that conservatives and libertarians were such
a small part of their existing customer base that they could
afford to drive them off?

Did they forget about Rush Limbaugh, who until the Gore deal,
was giving Apple free endorsements, and has now warned-off
some 20,000,000 listeners?

This is massively incompetent management at work, folks.
Apple is at serious risk of becoming dot.gone.
