Man that Babelfish has trouble, doesn't it? I first thought we musta sent a sub up the river or something. LOL

NO, Marines are a Navy outfit, according to Babel fish. I guess the program still has some wrinkles.

Marines are (grudgingly) a subsidiary of the Department of the Navy, maybe it was them.

Well, technically a Marine Expeditionary Force is part of the Navy; although, neither the Marines nor the Navy likes to think about it.

the captain of the destroyer said "this time we were able to provide cover and fire support to the marines." our five inch guns and machine guns were firing non stop.
and marines cover behind the hull of the ship.
