Interesting. Saddam's former bomb-maker was on Fox and said exactly the opposite. He said Saddam would have used much more emphatic and flowery language. He also said there was no ambiguity in the announcement on Iraqi TV that Saddam himself would be speaking.

I just sent a suggestion to Saturday Night Live for a skit in which Hussein is to speak live before his people. An aid will hold up a newspaper headline to prove the date and Hussein will be on live ---- in a seance.
