Well, the NOAA has gotten their daily satellite links working again, after being down for a day and a half. The yellow arrows in the 2nd pic just above indicate oil well fires. you can see the plumes as black streaks.

Thanks Saber. I pity the person who mentions Iraq weather to me. They will wither when I bring forth all the knowledge I get from your posts.
Still concerned about that "awfully hot" weather at then end of the week.

It was 90 here in the Arizona desert yesterday and we didn't even have our air conditioner on. Dry heat is much more tolerable than moist heat. But--I would hate to carry the equipment load they have in 100 deg. heat.
