Scandinavian Iraqis spoiling for a fight

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - More than 1,000 Iraqis living in Scandinavia have volunteered to return to their native country to fight U.S. and British troops, an Iraqi diplomat says.
"It is already over 1,000 and more people are calling all the time," said Jamal Abdulrazak, attache at the Iraqi embassy in Stockholm which serves Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
"They want to attack the aggression of the United States. They want to fight the illegal occupation of their country by U.S. and British aggressors. And they are right," he told Reuters.
The Swedish government expelled Iraq's two top diplomats -- allegedly for spying on Iraqi exiles and not in compliance with a request from Washington -- a week before the U.S.-led war started.
Because of the expulsions, the current status of the Iraqi embassy does not allow it to issue passports or visas, Abdulrazak said, adding the mission's two-man staff was advising countrymen who wanted to join the war to travel to Syria or Jordan.
Some 41,500 Iraqis received asylum in Sweden between 1980 and 2002. More than 24,000 people from Iraq live in Denmark and around 15,000 in Norway.
The governments of Sweden and Norway have condemned the war because it lacks, in their view, a U.N. Security Council mandate. Denmark, however, is contributing to the U.S.-led attack with a submarine and a small warship.

Bring 'em on! You better hurry! Bring your flak-jackets and helmets. And big "bulls-eye" T-shirts.
The Anti-Americanism in the Scandinavian countries is a huge disappointment but not unexpected. They've been living in denial so long -- their social systems are so stretched, they desperately need the immigration from the Mideast to fund their comfortable retirements and transfer payments. When those systems go to their inevitable bankrupt conclusion (should coincide with the drying up of the North Sea oil revenues for Norway), then we'll see who has a problem with their Iraqi immigrents.

How about we meet in a neutral third party arena for a no-holds-barred-winner-take-all showdown. I am sure I could find a few former active duty FReepers that would be willing to fight for the good guys.
Or, how about we start a fund to collect money to buy tickets for these former sandpeople who are beating their chests from the safety of Stockholm. Would love to see how many showed up to pick up their tickets.

Scandinavia is missing a bet if they do not provide free tickets. They will be cheap, just buy one way tickets. They will not need return ones.
I like all this blustering Arab BS. Yah, lets rush on down screaming Allah arks Barf and attack some pissed off Marines. That will work...

I volunteer to take on the whole 1000 with 10 of my hunting buddies using deer rifles, 9 mm side arms, and 4X4 trucks. I know 5 of us would be enough but I'd like to get done before lunch.

Hey, you can't take them all yourself. I have an AR and a 1911-A1 that need the work. And I need the practice.

You give France FAR too much credit...France is too cowardly to attempt such a plan...they will just surrender to the militants within their borders.
To: conspiratoristo
OK. Maybe it would be more fair if you and I take them on alone. I have a 1911 custom but I prefer my Ruger 9mm, 10 dead Irqaqis per clip. Heck I'll take all my guns, what time are we leaving?

Hey, that rocks. They're an itty-bitty country, so this is a reasonably big effort for them, and the fact that a North European country is "getting it" well enough to send military help is an encouraging sign.

When you can hit a rat (four legged) at 200 yards, the two legged variety is easy even with a beer buzz. I practice left and right-handed with rifle and side arm bright and low light. Lay on a sharp rock to increase your focus make sure one sock is wet, have a friend fire off rounds for added distraction
