"Growing up in America, I think a lot of times we're sheltered. Although we have the daily news, we live in a beautiful country, a wonderful country, a country that as bad as people may think it is sometimes, I think is the most wonderful in the world.

"Some people believe in guardian angels, some people don't. My mother told me before I left that my grandfather would be watching over me. I believe he is."

Godspeed, Sgt. Lawrence.

Thank you... it's very stressful time right now, I haven't been able to jump on as much lately. It was nice to log on today and see your bump before seeing the articles quoting idiot minded professors stating they would like to see 1,000 more Mogadishu's.

THANK YOU

Thanks for the ping. Now that the soldiers deploying are dressed in desert BDU's, we'll find a young couple at lunch, ready to deploy, call their waiter over, and buy their lunch. We try to do it secretly, but the waiters usually point us out. It's a small gesture, but the gratitude they show for the support warms your heart.
