What is the current situation with Geraldo? I've been at work and/or sleeping for the past two days, so I haven't heard anything on it.

My gut tells me that the Pentagon knows that FOX is very pro military and they wanted to handle the faux pas Geraldo made with understatement.

However, MSNBC and CNN got leaked word of it, and tried to make a big issue out of it after the Peter Arnett thing, forcing the Pentagon's hand, and getting Geraldo to pack his bags.

My guess is that Geraldo would have been kept under extremely tight lock and key, but for CNN and MSNBC.

It says here that Geraldo has volunteered to leave and that FOX News has agreed to have him go back to Kuwait. It also says they are negotiating with the Pentagon to get him back in.

I'm sure every morning the embedded reporters are reminded of what they can say and what's verboten.

No excuse for Whoraldo IMHO.

On O'reily's show earlier he mentioned Whoraldo even giving attack times. I saw Jerry draw the map and give locations and do remember him mentoning a time but I can't recall if it was the attack time.

I say ask the ones who nuts will be swinging in the breeze (101st) what they think of someone divulging their next attack plan worldwide.

What you say sounds about right. But, unless memory fails me, FReepers here were watching his broadcast and said he was surrounded by soldiers when he drew his map. If it was as big a deal as so many armchair warriors say it is wouldn't they have thought so? And if they did think it was over the line does that mean the USMC doesn't have a gunney with enough nerve to shut down his broadcast? I sure don't think so.
