Hearing 1/3 of the troops being deployed from Ft. Benning GA are women

I have not problem with women contributing, e.g., on AWACS, supply, etc. It's just that as the risk of capture goes up, my willingness to put them at risk goes down.

Separate subject: in recovery of POW, also recovered at least 9 bodies, dead. On Larry King.

I tend to agree with you. I think some of the embeds might end up seeing a side of war(as we take Baghdad) that they might not have known they were signing up for. It could be very messy.

No dogs in Saddam's new neighborhood. They couldn't put out that fire.

Explosives sniffer dog Buster unearthed a hidden cache of arms from an enemy camp...

Thanks for the info...I can only wonder if the Blixie Boys EVER would have thought to use Inspector Dogs...or Dolphins for that matter...

The space alien keeps harping on "any journalist would've taken the Saddam interview." Newt kept repeating that, yes, they have the right to take the interview but that does not mean it was th correct thing to do. He framed it as a "moral" issue. Alan just couldn't grasp the concept.

I just got home from taking my two year old springer for a walk and a swim. Your story made me cry and I appreciate how you handled the situation. We love our dogs don't we?

When the president said "we are coming" in his speech yesterday, it sent chills down my spine. I really believe it may be the speech that gets in the history books one day.

Well population wise(about 5 million), Baghdad is comparable to Houston, Atlanta, DFW. But the density is much higher(poorer, more highrises, smaller housing, much smaller percentage of retail account of much lower income) so it is more compact. I was comparing based on physical size.

I still think Indy and Omaha are good comparisons, bisected by rivers, sprawling and approachable from all sides.
