Dixie Chicks Get Support From Al Gore
Yahoo, by Nancy Brooks 4/1/2003 11:28:53 AM

The Dixie Chicks controversy continues with the trio getting some support from former Vice President Al Gore. Gore spoke to a college audience last week on the subject of fewer companies owning more media outlets, and what he sees as the increasing lack of tolerance for opposing views.

Our democracy has taken a hit," Gore said.

He still doesn't know this is NOT a democracy. *Sigh*

Morocco's willing to take on PETA for the coalition. (^:

They are idiots who need FReeping, too (PETA, not Morocco). They are cultish weirdos using sex to get thier "message" out.

It reminds me that on my way to work this morning I was behind this old, beater type car and the back of it was plastered with PETA stickers, enviromental stickers and one that said, "When you surrender to hate, you've already lost" (eye roll). The girl who was driving the car had large PLASTIC rollers in her hair and was putting her make-up on while driving. I just couldn't help be suprised 1- that someone with those stickers on thier car would actually attempt to do thier hair and make-up and 2- that she obviously hasn't read the lables of her cosmetics anytime recently. They are full of things that enviromentalists wouldn't like. If I had a crappy old car I would have nudged her bumper while she was putting on her lipstick.

Revised from 'Sling Blade'

Sodamn's bodyguard: I studied on killing you. Studied on it quite a bit. But I reckon there ain't no need for it if all you're gonna do is sit there in that chair. You'll be dead soon enough and the world 'll be shut of ya. You ought not killed my little brother, he should've had a chance to grow up. He woulda had fun some time.

Better yet... broadcast that song that made all the martians heads explode in the movie "Mars Attacks!". We could put Bose speakers in all our helicopters and fly over the entire country with that song booming over and over.

Who did that song, Ferlin Husky?

Of course, we'd need to make sure our pilots are wearing hearing protection.

I am stuck with CNN on this Cruise....
But, I just got a shot in the arm from my nephew on the Connie:
"I work in an office and don't get out much. Things are going well out here overall. The newscast aren't often correct. They only seem to talk about the bad things that happen in war. People get killed, people get hurt, we are prepared and are seriously kicking some ass. All the training that the military does, all the money that is spent on us and our equipment is what is keeping us alive and allowing us to save civilian lives. It's expensive but worth it. We are willing , motivated and able. We will prevail!
