And Chirac is not the only politician of this stripe in France. These days, it is becoming hard to find a French politician ready to speak about human rights, freedom or democracy. All of them seem to have the same speechwriter or to belong to the same totalitarian political party; all of them are anti-American, anti-Israeli and "pacifists." They regard Western civilization as something filthy and abhorrent. Did all these franco-pols attend our public schools and go to our state run highe education system? If so, I can understand their actions.

And that was twenty-five years ago! Imagine how the Muslim population has burgeoned since then! This is not B.S. I have a friend, beautiful young French girl (can't hold it against the ladies now, can you) she is from Marseille, France. Her entire family has left their homeland for here (Canada) because they were being heavily persecuted by Muslims - in her own home town at that! It was so bad, that they were driven out! Believe it, France is doomed. England is starting to have similar problems, but the Brits won't put up with it, they didn't defend their island only to lose it to Muslims. England will have a race war.

It would appear that there is a lesson in there somewhere. It's a shame that we haven't learned in time either.

AS I was reading the article, I did see a parallel between what went on in France and what is going on in this country.
We have Muslims who are evidently very influential - they have quite a lot of access to the White House and to Congress. The have their own schools and publishing houses. They established mosques and charities to send money to terrorists.
In a very few years, we have come from arresting Christian children praying around a flagpole before the start of school to special rooms in school for the Muslim children to pray during the day.
Don't forget that Saddam probably could not have gotten the power he did without our aid. Didn't we continue to buy oil from him?
Aren't we bending over backwards so we don't insult the Saudis?
Rather than the fun, but total uselessness, of bashing France, we should be asking some very hard questions of our politicians, at all levels. I am not sure most people have the courage to do that. IT would be admitting perhaps politicians,e ven the ones we like, are not acting in the best interest of the US.

The anti-Semitism has created a threat to the physical safety for French Jews. Almost every week, some Jews get mugged, simply for being Jews. Almost nobody pays attention to it. When an anti-Semitic act is so disgusting it is impossible to hide it, journalists will speak of "confrontation between communities." When confronted with the reality that these "confrontations" are always Muslims attacking Jews, the editorial response: "Just because there has yet to be a single documented case of a Jew attacking a Muslim yet doesn't mean it will never happen. . . ." None of this would happen if France would pass National Hate-Crimes laws...

I heard the same from Germany in '91.

The owner/chef at a couple of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia, Mr. George Perrier, is a Frenchman who came to America as a young man and became a US Citizen. He was being interviewed on a local radio show about a month ago to provide some French perspective on the schism between the two nations. I guess they expected him to be sympathetic to the French side but he was adamently pro-USA and said that the French government has become the lapdog of the muslims. He said they are terrified of them. It sure is now looking like France was conquered a startling three times in the 20th century.

"
A great article, but I find it *EXTREMELY* difficult to believe that French right-wingers are happy about Muslims flooding into their country."
What is deemed 'right' in europe, is what we commonly refer to as the 'left' here.
To: mondonico
Yeah, but the French were honorless, undependable backstabbers long before they acquired their muslim population.

God we should have let the Nazis keep Belgium and France and ended the war by demanding withdrawl from everywhere else. France has gone down the pooper
Imagine when Americans would think that Nazism was a step up from the current French government.
