When I called MSNBC last night and they asked me the nature of my call I told them, the comments of Peter Arnett, he took a long painful breathe and connected me to another person.

They I called National Geographic and gave them a piece of my mind too.

Call your local NBC affiliates and give them an earful, too. The networks tick off their affiliates at their peril.

I haven't received any emails back yet because I'm sure their servers crashed from the fire they lit. But they did the right thing. They were gaining on CNN in the ratings and did not need the pain of watching their audience leave in droves. All I can say is that it can not be comforting to be his crew there with him. Especially since he's worthless to the regime now, they have no reason to keep them there or alive. This might be a firing in more ways than one.

From all accounts, they were deluged with outraged calls. It's hard to avoid the conclusion that this, rather than disgust at Arnett's pro-Saddam efforts, was the motivating force behind his termination.

It's worth remembering to contact NBC and tell them they did the right thing. Following the stick with the carrot will help them stave off any "firer's remorse."

We need to punish NBC/MSNBC for hiring him in the first place and rushing to defend him when it first came out!

Stop watching them!

That is the one thing that they understand, as the 'Dixie Chicks' are learning!
