In Exeter in the South West of England, people turned out for the "Patriot Rally".
Ex-serviceman Ken Hill, who organised the rally, said he was pleased with the turn-out - which he put at 500 - mainly made up service families wanting to show their support.
He said: "Families of servicemen are being told by peace protesters that they have blood on their hands.
"But our guys are over there, preserving our democracy and our freedom. Let's give them and their wives over here support.

May it be but the first of many.
The turn-out shows that there is a pent-up desire by some to do something publicly.

Go to http//:www.bbc.co.uk/news then search for Patriot Rally in Exeter. There's only a single picture, but I think you'll find that it contradicts the view that all children are against the liberation.
