Indeed. If there was a pause, it had to be planned in advance. We built a line straight to Baghdad. This "pause" had to be planned as we fortified and filled the supply line preparing to lop off the head of the snake. There is no question that US air support could provide immense counter offensive measures against any attack on our supply lines. Since there was no major attack on our line, our planes were free to continue bombing Baghdad.
