The other night, during one of Levanthal's reports, he was asked about the possible 4-6 day delay. He stammered a bit and didn't want to say anything and when pressed further he said the person in charge of the group he was with was right there next to him out of camera range. I think someone may always be near by when they give their reports.
Yep. I'm sure you are right. Been there done that as a public affairs officer in the Air Force. My bet is there's a PAO or some other 'handler' next to the camera operator who is monitoring the report. And, those TV reporters can only broadcast when the unit commanders allow them to.
