WTF Is Geraldo doing?
Posted on 03/30/2003 8:48:09 PM PST by lewislynn
This is the third night I've seen Geraldo giving the location of his company and mentioning the new supply route to the west.
Three nights ago he gave his location by miles. So many miles north of Q8 and so many miles south of Baghdad and so many miles west of ?....
Now he's drawing their war plan in the sand.
I'll put Geraldo in the Peter Arnett category (is anybody really surprised at his treason?).
I went to the FOX website but can't find the e-mail address...I'm pissed.

We too think Geraldo is doing a great job. He HAS changed and it's great how he lets the troops say hello to families. I think everyone would love a chance to catch a glimpse or hear the words I Love You from the troops standing around Geraldo. Until he proves himself to be something other than he is right now...we will continue to watch and support him. His presence is strong and comforting.

Whoaaaaa, wait just a doggone minute.
Sounds as if you're
assuming a lot.
I for one am quite certain [they] hope the Iraqi's are watching or Whorealdo would never have been permitted to recieve or be any where close to any kind of "plan," whatsoever.
...don'tcha think?

Guess you were right LewisLynn. Geraldo's been kicked out. Adios buddy.. sounds like you sang a little too long and too much. FoxNews has been awfully quiet, but MSNBC reported this morning that the military has relieved Geraldo and escorted him back to Kuwait.
Agreed, you didn't hear it from Fox. MSNBC also quickly reported how fast they fired Arnett.

Good job, you got him! I take no credit. His ego got him.
To: Gracey
I guess I gave him too much credit.

"Geraldo has redeemed himself, INHO. I heard his choked up heartfelt talk to a GI about his friends who died on 9-11.""I was moved to give him another chance."
I would reconsider giving him a second chance.
I just heard on MSNBC he was kicked out of the Army Camp and escorted back to Kuiwait for giving out information of the kind that, "Loose Lips, Sink Ships."

Why hasn't FNC made a statement about Geraldo "The Fake"? I thought they were "fair and balanced"? I don't have to scramble for the remote to change the channel when he comes on now.
To: Landru
Whoaaaaa, wait just a doggone minute. Sounds as if you're assuming a lot. Get up to speed...it's reported he's been expelled.

I missed the drawing maps in the sand part of Geraldo's report, but I did see him grandstanding in front of the troops, and I wondered what in the world (WTF) were they doing standing behind him, posing, for what seemed like an hour. (I saw the beginning of his report, some part in the middle, and then the end.) I saw the end of the report where Geraldo telegraphed the immediate future of the mission by having everyone give their regards to their family/friends, and he did the same. He is a danger to those men. He may or may not have had good intentions. Who cares! The important thing is for the mission to be a success. Geraldo can go lick his wounds elsewhere. If we have to have embedded reporters, then they'd better be humble and care more about the mission than the Pulitzer Prize.
To: lewislynn
I saw that sand map last night and thought what the...?
Heard on local talk radio they kicked him out of there now. Haven't heard anything else anywhere though. Cyrano noted he'd been pushing the envelope a lot recently.

.it's reported he's been expelled I heard that too.
longshot (putting the best construction on it-- which I don't tend to buy myself) is that it was a ruse, and booting him makes it look authentic. Who knows?

Calm down. The Pentagon is enforcing their times/locations ban. If the Pentagon thought he was a threat to the unit, he'd be out in the time it took to make the phone call.
My guess is, if he's still doing this, and not getting reamed out by the Pentagon, they either want that information out there (its entirely possible) or they want him to give out some disinformation (which is also possible.)

Think how the expulsion of the dweeb Whorealdo will be viewed by the barbarians.
Sure won't hurt the prospects of those journalists already held captive, will it?
That's some damned good leadership & *strategizing* if this is what I'm thinking it is.
...time for me to "get up to speed." {g}

Calm down. The Pentagon is enforcing their times/locations ban. Yea they sure are, he's been expelled....
Oh but wait, it's all part of some brilliant military strategy...which is why you're hearing all about it on FOX..< /sarcasm >
To: lewislynn
Serves me right for not reading all 228 posts....
(I don't have access to FOX, just CNN.)

That's some damned good leadership & *strategizing* if this is what I'm thinking it is. Yea, a brilliant strategy...but for the strategy to work it has to be reported...Since they aren't reporting it, FOX I guess isn't part of the grand scheme.
