WTF Is Geraldo doing?
Posted on 03/30/2003 8:48:09 PM PST by lewislynn
This is the third night I've seen Geraldo giving the location of his company and mentioning the new supply route to the west.
Three nights ago he gave his location by miles. So many miles north of Q8 and so many miles south of Baghdad and so many miles west of ?....
Now he's drawing their war plan in the sand.
I'll put Geraldo in the Peter Arnett category (is anybody really surprised at his treason?).
I went to the FOX website but can't find the e-mail address...I'm pissed.

my first flame in 5 years..... GET A LIFE. times change, things change. maybe you should get some exercise? or do something constructive? you are being a bigger jerk than geraldo was 5 years ago. have you no tolerance for anyone? never fear, fox will never fire geraldo unless he truly reveals classified information, i think he is way too smart for that.

I knew it was over for him, when I saw him riding in the back of a huey wearing a cowboy hat...

Congratulations! You are the first person in history who has used the words "smart" and "Geraldo" in the same sentence.
He may be an entertaining goof, but smart is being a little too generous. You are confusing enthusiasm for brains.
If you want to understand Geraldo, watch his clip in Howard Stern's underpants party video from 1988. That's Geraldo then and today. He has not changed one little bit.

I don't think Geraldo is intentionally treasonous, but rather is just as dumb as a fire hydrant. The guy gets way too excited, and lets his mouth run too far and too long and too fast for anyone's good. He can't help himself. He's like Bill Clinton at a Girl Scout convention.
To: lewislynn
I owe you an apology. I thought the moron had enough brains to clear everything as he did in Afghanistan.

He seriously enjoys being with the troops, has been in afghanistan and other locations overseas for months. I would guess the troops are happy to have him along, too. It has to be an ego boost to have a well-known minor celebrity follow you around and tell the world every day what a bunch of bad-asses you are.

As for Geraldo, I think he's showboating. I usually get very annoyed watching his reports.
He loves himself way too much. I would have thought the being in the desert would have made in lose the Captain Hook mustache, but I guess not.

Yes, and while that Huey was spooling up, Geraldo donned his aussie cowboy hat and was heard humming that scene as Robert Duvall in Apocolypse. The one with the loud speakers playing as the air cavalry arrives in the Mi Cong Delta.

Chill, man. Geraldo had an epiphany when 70 of his friends perished on 9-11. He's alright now. I hated him before.
I will agree with you there, he has definitely become for patriotic and Bush friendly since 911. Perhaps he will completely come to his senses before Nov 2004 and hand that Demoratic registration card in.

I want to throw a brick at the screen every time Geraldo says "we" when he means " the Marines" . Hey Geraldo you are NOT a Marine!

Christ, I'm sounding like a Geraldo apologist....Satan needs a sweater I suppose
No, actually I agiree with everything you said. At least he is on the right network now. He still reeks a tad of that arrogance that I strongly dislike about him.

I am impressed with your use of the language (WTF?) you sound like ME! That translates to Whiskey Tango Foxtrot in my circles. ;-)

I agree with you. While Arnett is intentionally anti-American, Geraldo is simply DENSE.
Last week he told a military man not to address him as "sir", when he should know that all military are taught to do just that in an effort to establish the mindset that they are "serving" their countrymen.

"
Have you noticed everytime FOX goes to him he has an audience------"You are so right -- everything has to be staged, and he is the center of attention!
There was a column in one of our newspapers about these war correspondents running the risk of becoming Doonesbury characters. One incident was mentioned --- David Bloom reporting live from atop a vehicle racing across the desert, with his cameraman taping from a vehicle behind him. He authr of the article said "Steven Spielberg would have been proud to stage a shot like that."
Give me Leventhal. When he is stressed, you can see it. When he is rested you can see it. What you see is what you get -- just plain reporting speaks for itself. My respect for him grows.
MSNBC just reported on Geraldo being removed. Perhaps they want to even the embarrassment they are feeling about Baghdad Pete? I still hven't seen it on Fox ---yet.
