BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- U.S. war planners underestimated the determination of Iraqi forces and are now re-writing their battle plans as a result, veteran war correspondent Peter Arnett told Iraqi TV in an interview that aired Sunday.
"The first war plan has failed because of Iraqi resistance. Now they are trying to write another war plan," Arnett said. "Clearly, the American war planners misjudged the determination of the Iraqi forces."

Maybe Baghdad Barnie gags even CNN.

But just how different is Aaron Brown from Peter Arnett? Brown (and many other CNN "reporters" and commentators) has at least implied all of the points made directly by Arnett.

I knew I didn't like him, something about him just stinks, guess I know now what it is.
Nice they could report the "news" with their twist.

(Peter Arnett is French)
"In the interview, Arnett said reports from Baghdad on civilians being killed are being shown in the United States, and "it helps those who oppose the war when you challenge the policy to develop their arguments.""
Sounds just like CNN and their intentions with the kind of coverage they are doing...

So Arnett is back at it again and this time around is being defendend by NBC.
You'd think that someone in tactical would figure out a way to isolate Arnett from his collegues at the foreign correspondent's housing in Baghdad and then execute a surgical strike.
It would give me the greatest personal satisfaction to hear the incomming ordinance and watch the screen go blank during an Arnett presentation.

The Muslim nations have become experts at using the media to reduce Western forces' ineffectiveness. They play upon the well-known conscience of the West concerning causing harm to civilians.
The Muslim media, led by Al-Jazeera, have totally distorted the events of the war. They have blatantly twisted facts into propaganda aimed at inflaming the Arab masses of the Middle East. So has the media of China, Europe and other nations who are opposed to the war.

Arnett needs to be fired, and then his passport needs to be taken from him. He can write a new book. "A Man without a Country."

Read this word from God:
"Flee from the midst of Babylon, and every one save his life! Do not be cut off in her iniquity, for this is the time of the Lord's
vengeance; He shall recompense her. Babylon was a golden cup in the Lord's hand, that made all the earth drunk. The nations drank
her wine; therefore the nations are deranged. Babylon has suddenly fallen and been destroyed, wail for her! Take balm for her pain;
perhaps she may be healed; we would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed. Forsake her and let us go everyone to his own
country; for her judgment reaches to heaven and is lifted up to the skies. Make the arrows bright! Gather the shields! The Lord has
raised up the spirit of the kings. For His plan is against Babylon to destroy it because it is the vengeance of the Lord, the
vengeance for His temple....... O you who dwell by many waters, abundant in treasures, your end has come."

Better yet, I'd like one of those errant cruise missiles to find his hotel room in the middle of the night.
Arnett is a traitor!

I have a Peter Arnett book on my shelf inside. I was going to try to sell it again on ebay, but I think I will throw it in the garbage instead.
Actually I tried to sell it about 3 times before for $1, but no one would buy it - and that's the truth!

The first war plan has failed because of Iraqi resistance. Now they are trying to write another war plan," Arnett said. "Clearly, the American war planners misjudged the determination of the Iraqi forces." Can we get a copy of the plan? How do you expect us to watch a war without the plan? If Baghdad is supposed to be taken by a date certain we need to know that date to measure performance to the plan. Do any of the readers have any tickets or passes to the current planning sessions being held by the war planners? Come on, somebody please post the war plan so we can keep track!
Ah the heck with it. I don't watch CNN anyway. Got Fox News on the dish.

Peter Arnett gives new meaning to the phrase "Whore of Babylon". Seriously, why is it that the Saddam government has kicked certain US and UK journalists out of Baghdad but allows Arnett to stay and to move about relatively freely?
