uhh, Treason against who? Arnett is a New Zealander
No!
He was orignally a citizen of New Zeeland. He is now a naturalized US citizen, and travels on a US passport. There was a British traitor during World War II called Lord Hawhaw who was of undetermined citizenship, but because he travelled under a valid British passport his broadcasts to Britain from Germany got him charged with treason. He was hanged in 1946.
The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition. 2001.
190646, British Nazi propagandist, b. Brooklyn, N.Y., called Lord Haw-Haw. Taken to England as a child, Joyce became involved there in the fascist movement. He went to Germany just before the outbreak of World War II and throughout the war broadcast German propaganda in English from Berlin. He was captured by British soldiers in Germany in 1945. Despite his American birth, he was adjudged subject to British jurisdiction because he held a British passport. He was convicted of treason and hanged. 1 See biography by J. A. Cole (1964); R. West, The New Meaning of Treason (rev. ed. 1967). 2

As I said on the other thread:
OK...this charge gets thrown around a lot these days, I know, but...
Here it is.
This is the real thing.
TREASON
Plain and simple.
This is no different than what "Tokyo Rose" did, and she was convicted of treason.

Where's an errant cruise missle when you need it?Funny you should mention - one of the ministry of information buildings was burning quite brilliantly on Fox a few minutes ago. They were showing it while introducing the story on Arnett. There was a humerous allude to the building being hit right after Arnett's interview.

I've been a member of Nat. Geo for 43 years.
If they don't disown this sonofabitch and disavow his statements...this will be my last year!

Did you see that tank take out that thousand foot TV tower in Baghdad with a single shot?
It was beautiful.

Putting aside threads for a minute, I can't stomach the briefings at Cent Comm in Gutar. Every single reporter is anti-American and their questions are in the form of "accusations". Further, I am against the embedding of journalists with the troops.
Tony Snow really perturbed me today as he asked a forward unit how they were on supplies and where they were going. Arnett isn't the only media type who is getting carried away. There are just varying degrees. EMBEDDING JOURNALISTS IS DANGEROUS TO OUR TROOPS IMO. Fregards, FV

Just an overt example of what runs rife in the media. FREEP LIKE YOU'VE NEVER FREEPED BEFORE, boys and girls.
FReep the paratreasonous forces of the press.
FReep them for General Wm. T. Sherman and FReep them for all his great, great, great, great, great grandchildren.
