A FEW DAYS AFTER the United States attacked Iraq, I traveled to Chicago to address a group of high school history teachers. I urged them to conduct debates about the war, so that students could arrive at their own views of it. Afterward, one of the teachers pulled me aside. ''Thanks so much for your talk,'' she said, smiling graciously. ''Unless we debate the war, our students won't know that it's an enormous mistake.''

Yesterdays NYPost had a comment by a Journalism Prof in which none, zero of his 20 students knew who "Tommy Franks" was.

"You cann't make chicken soup from chickensh**t."

Jonathan Zimmerman may be ready to rise up out of the tank. If he stays honest, he'll see that on issue after issue, the left are made of bad faith and liberals are the left.

Last year, a National Geographic-Roper survey found that fewer than 15 percent of young adults between 18 and 24 could locate Iraq on a map. Unfortunate for Iraq.....that 15% were all Marines.

If he has actually listened to Christian radio, I sincerely doubt that he has heard this "God blesses America's war on Iraq" argument there.

If the message is not..."God blesses America's war on Iraq", then what message is Christian radio sending?
Just last week here in Florida there was a pro-war rally where preachers were performing in front of an American flag backdrop, what was that all about?
Just so we can be clear on this matter, my personal belief is, those who believe that G-d favors our invasion of Iraq are equal to those who believe that killing for allah will win virgins in the afterlife.

The author dismisses the link between SH's Iraq and 911. But this Shanghai editorial does not:

"If al Qaeda were mere criminals, rather than avatars of a world-wide radical Islamist onslaught against the existing global order, then the US action against Iraq might indeed be considered an over-reaction.

If, on the contrary, following in the wake of Nazism and Soviet Communism, Islamism (the totalitarian perversion of Islam) is a coherent planetary threat to secular liberal civilization, this time crossing Nazi-style suicidal fanaticism with Soviet-style megadeath weaponry, then those substantially obstructing the US in this struggle are indeed "with the terrorists".

the great liberal prophet John Dewey

I believe the correct term is socilist prophet. Advocated state responsibility for education as opposed to parents.
