My Message to Columbia Professor Nicholas De Genova regardin his death wish for our forces

The following is my email to Professor Nicholas De Genova of Columbia University who was quoted in the New York Post as wishing a "million Mogadishus" on American servicement in Iraq at an anti-war rally.

This was reported on FreeRepublic on this thread, Columbia Prof wishes death to GIs.

Here's my email to him:

Nicholas De Genova,

Your call for the US Military to suffer a "million Mogadishus" has crossed a serious line on civility and duty and commitment to our nation.

You are wishing for the death of 18,000,000 of your fellow countrymen and women, individuals who are fighting for your ability to make your crass statements about their well being.

Are you familiar with the term "useful idiot"? If you are not, I suggest that your read your history regarding the Bolshevik revolution in Russia. Note the ultimate outcome to the "useful idiots" employed by the Bolsheviks. If you get your way, and these tyrants are victorious, those very people you support with your comments would have no compunction about doing the same to you and your ilk, while the very people you deride are dedicated to your life and liberty. Perhaps you should think about that.

In addition, you are self defeating in your own comments. You clearly have no concept of history, even recent history. Something between 2,000 and 10,000 Somalis were killed in that Mogadishu battle. Your wish for 18,000,000 American dead would result in between 2,000,000,000 and 10,000,000,000 Iraqi dead ... in other words, a complete depopulation of that country. With such a statement, and such a wish, you reveal your true genocidical nature.

Individuals like you are what is wrong with the world today. You are so transparent and so ignorant of history that it would be laughable, if your policies were not so dangerous. All I can say to you are the words that Samuel Adams said to similar defeatists and traitorous thinkers to the original American cause:

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom...go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels nor arms. May your chains set lightly upon you and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."- Samuel Adams

I too have bombarded Columbia, and spread this news over many discussion boards, there are MANY who are DEMANDING the IMMEDIATE termination of De Genova.
I thought Bill O'Reilly would DEMAND this, but unfortunately he did NOT quote the most damning comments from De Genova FIRST, he quoted something that did not immediatly show that De Genova wanted American troops killed.
BUT ... his guest was the head of whatever the name is for Profs tenure board (whatever the groups name is that COULD fire De Genova). HE was JUST as alarming, saying in principle they NEVER fire, and never WILL fire a Prof. on the basis of what he or she SAYS!! No matter HOW offensive!
This to me is unbelievable! People need to start being EDUCATED and FAST regarding the LIMITATIONS of free speech ... What De Genova said, had nothing to do with exercising "free speech", it was the words of a Terrorist INCITING MURDER, and LAWLESSNESS ... these kind of words are NOT protected by Free Speech.
CLEARLY -> The ONLY way I can see to make this man suffer and also the President of Columbia (who probably will NOT fire him) is to SUE, SUE , SUE ... EVERYONE .. De Genova, and the President Bollinger. >>>> THEREFORE .. what we NEED is LAWYERS or people with MONEY to get LAWYERS to go after them, and keep them in court so much, that they will NOT be able to do their so called jobs. AND demand that protection agencies INVESTGATE De Genova, to see if he might pose a threat to American citizens!

Any Lawyers out there ??? that will do this PRO BONO for the Troops, their families and our country??? HELP!!

Well if you think that's bad I just got back from my College Physics class and the Professor talks exactly like Chief Moose. Here is some of the words he used; "wif" for "with", "righ quick" for "let me show you something quickly". Oh, and he was making up stuff too, like did you know that the Ancient Greeks used meter sticks? Guess they used palm pilots too.

That's what happens when you take night courses.
And I go to a private college not some community school. And this is where my tuition money goes to... diversity!

We've been doing it for the last few days.

1. Email the prof and the President telling them exactly how you feel (see post 60 for emails).
2. Forward stroy to everyone you know, asking them to do the same.
3. Indicate particularly the need to contact alumni to pull/cease donations. Make this clear to the President, Bollinger.
4. Demand the firing of De Genova and a direct and forceful repudiation of his comments.

Thousands of emails already gone. Members of alumni already contacted and brought in who are contacting trustees and other alumni.

Get the email chinas going into exponential growth.

Let's roll!

New to this forum. Must say I'm quite impressed with the intelligent way of handling mental 4-Fs like Asst. Prof. De Genova. Before I did a little Yahoo search resulting in the the finding of this forum, I wrote De Genova telling him of the disgust I felt at his comments. Hopefully something will be done at a higher level than personal emails. I feel I'm kind of hopping on this wagon a bit late, but I like where it's going.

Welcome to FreeRepublic.

The debate gets a little wild and free wheeling at times ... but we all (mostly) like that.

What you will find are a LOT of people dedicated to the proposition that this nation should be soveriegn, independent, and filled with the type of liberty envisioned by our founders ... for the most part.

This particular issue needs all the help, from every quarter, it can get. The leftist/marxist anti-war protestors need to be completely outewd, and this guy is helping us with his blatant comments, opinions and ideologies.

Please do write the Professor and the President of Columbia and voice your opinion ... then, the real secret, network with your friends and relatives through your email address book and any other way you can and get them to do exactly the same. That is, email Columbia and get their friends to do likewise. in this way, great pressure can be brought to bear quickly, and many in the conservative press catch on and pile on.
