just got back from a support our troops rally at VFW post in Cedar Grove NJ.
Got short notice about it, so could not post earlier. Well attended, filling a large parking lot. They had families of a number of servicepeople in Iraq and thanked them.
Lots of singing, flag waving, good to see. We got called because the VFW asked us to show up with our Boy Scout troop's colors.
Besides supporting our troops, since veterans' group always show up to present certificates in person at our Eagle scout courts of honor, we were glad to.
Lots of people delighted to see all the boys in their scout uniforms. Boys got a great lesson in patriotism. (brag on) My Eagle Scout son carried the American flag for the scout contingent. (brag off)
Great day, the rain held off until it was over.
Thanks to VFW for sponsoring this.
It was a great rally!
