That's the idea. I just have to get a .38, .357 or 9MM that will fit in the jacket pocket first. Like I said, it will beat a .45 in a holster that I can't get at.
I've been using IDPA matches to experiment with a faster way of concealed draws. I even found that the thickness of the material in the cover garment is important. I had one case where I kept getting hung up in the shirt and I found that I didn't have the shirt starched like I usually do.
I know a guy who works for 7-11 in their offices that has a self designed shoulder holster that he uses under a white dress shirt and tie. The only thing out of the ordinary is he doesn't fasten the center button on the shirt. I have tried to see the imprint of the gun under the shirt and can't see it. Amazing.

I use two holsters. One is an upside down shoulder holster, the other is a waistband clip where I can reach through the jacket while turning sideways to the attacker to shoot through the jacket. I can re-position the clip holster easily if I want to open the jacket.
