Thanks.

Sounded like a Turkey Shoot from what the embedded journalists are reporting. The regime is forcing its citizens to confront armor with infantry, and they are just getting mowed down.

Personally, I don't think the negative press reporting is intended to drive down American opinion as much as it is intended to bolster Iraqi resolve to dig in and keep fighting.
Either way, though, they're not helping the situation, and their end-game includes the destruction of George Bush as well as Saddam Hussein.

Oh yeah, the media mob grows testy! With a republican in the White House, particularly GW, it's predictable, and not ever going to be pretty. But this time out, the media's anti-Bush attitude, quite possibly, is affecting military outcome because it's coupled with the relentless pounding of repetitive news. Think about it...
A bad news story gets pounded into our ears over and over and over. Besides depressing us, it's fuel for the anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-America protestors. (News cycles...remember news cycles? Evidently there is no such thing in war. One bad news story will get reported as fresh news until an even worse bad news story occurs.)
That's why the almost hourly polls on Bush popularity are taking place, checking to see if the hyped bad news is taking it's expected toll.
I just heard on CNN that Cheney's old company, Haliburton, will not get the contract for rebuilding Iraq's oil industry. The reason? They didn't turn in a bid.
Another media example for us to watch. For weeks, months even, the anti-Bush crowd has accused him of wanting this war to enrich his Haliburton cronies. Let's see how often, or if at all, we hear that lie from the left, simply never was true.

They do not care about the destruction of Saddam - only George Bush.

Hundreds of Freepers bought the Reuters BS of a several day standdown last nighg and were ready to lynch Rummy, his generals and Admirals. Now we know that was typical Reuters BS.
However the whiners on FR and those who hate GW instead of Soddomite were more than glad to slam our leaders and our men and women in Iraq.
This BS is right out of the 1960/70's Left Wing Play Book which cost a lot of American Lives in Viet Nam.
Go to this link to see the Whiners and the GW haters in action with last night's lie by Reuters!
