Well, they have their opinions, I have mine. I think women should be kept as far away from the danger as possible. If that makes me sexist, so be it.

Yeesh! People, there is NO need to apologize for spelling out the realities of the world to the PC crowd. Who brought us this dilema? The Clintons. What is the historical basis for this irrational departure? NONE.
Women shouldn't be in combat or subject to the risk of the same. Period. There are plenty of jobs needing doing and nobody is going to denigrate the contributions women make.

Have to disagree with you on this one, EV. I figure a woman, who is an adult, knows what she's getting into. Not to mention that I've known more than a few woman, who I wouldn't be on the wrong side of a gun from.
The only argument that would make me hesitate is that if having women in combat positions would significantly affect the male soldiers, in that they would tend to protect their female troops, rather than carry out their missions.
