Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

AAA....I like it! Did you see the weekend "protest" reports from around the world? They rallied
for the troops in Canada, couldn't get over 50 protestors to march to BBC in London...and Berkley students admit the protests are a big dud. (^;
Freepers supporting the troops across the country this weekend...thank you!

|
WASHINGTON - Three-quarters of allied airstrikes are now targeting Republican Guard forces that stand between advancing columns of U.S. ground troops and Saddam Hussein's government, a top American air officer said in an Associated Press interview Saturday. From his desert command post in Saudi Arabia, Air Force Brig. Gen. Daniel Darnell also said U.S. and British warplanes over the past week have attacked virtually every military airfield in Iraq..... |

The anti war movement is dead....it died the moment the video of our butchered prisoners aired on Al-Jazaerra.
Americans want blood now....we stay in this fight no matter how long it takes....

Yeah I know...local Pro-Troop rallies happened all up & down the I-5 corridor in the Seattle area. BIG one at the overpass going into Ft. Lewis that HAD been occupied by anti-wars before the war started. Around 2000 people! Overpasses from Lewis all the way north to Federal Way were occupied by Pro-Troop people!
FReepers are excellent!

Very good description of Iraq and coalition forces here . . .
Iraqi Order Of Battle
US Order of Battle
May God's presence be felt, especially to the families of fallen soldiers, and to those presently engaged in battle. His will be done.

The anti war movement is dead....it died the moment the video of our butchered prisoners aired on Al-Jazaerra.
When the pix came from Somolia, Clinton tucked tail and ran...opening the US to scorn, ridicule and, ultimately, 9-11.
GWBush won't tuck tail and run.

REAL efficiency is programming through a 4-bit gate, like in the good old days (1965...)

You two, so matter-of-fact...lol! Some of us have been expecting to fight the "peacenik" wars for years...and today's non-violent streets are a beautiful sight....as are those Pro-Troop rallies... all up & down the I-5 corridor . Long may they wave. (^:

Sean Penn,Martin Sheen,Michael Moore, many Democrats, the anti war crowd and the antagonistic press, should be forced to look at that woman's face. Maybe they might get a clue as to why President Bush is trying to prevent this happening on our city streets. Then again, maybe not...

ride motorbikes packed with explosives into coalition forces It's not funny in the least. Killer scooters.
The once-mighty army of Saddam (IIRC, 4th largest in the world) is reduced to Arafat techniques.
I'm uneasy, with our troops directly in harms way. Prayers that they have strength and clarity of mind. May our generals be granted wisdom, and their generals be rendered foolish.

Nice, easy on the eyes, BUT LEGS LIKE HILLARY'S
To: Cboldt
Two positives - group of Iraqi deserters told this story and it was reported in South Africa. The truth is getting out, in spite of Al Jazeera...or ABC.
