Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

White Men Can't Jump and Peaceniks Can't Count
Posted on 03/29/2003 11:48 AM EST by Bloody Sam Roberts
According to a report that was just aired on our local FM Conservative Talk Radio station, WTTK in Boston, a Peace/Anti-War rally was planned for Government Center in Boston for today.
There has been much publicity surrounding the organization and planning of this rally in the past few weeks. There were expectations for as many as 50,000 people from all over New England to be there to descend upon Boston to demonstrate against the war in Iraq.
According to the latest report on WTTK, the estimated count thus far at this rally is approximately 500 people.
Ooops. I guess peaceniks suffer from the same affliction as the organizers of the "Million Man March".
I think these clearly demonstrated that white men can jump!

Krisdtol's parents, Irving Kristol and Gertrude Himmelfarb were among the original "neoconservatives," liberals and leftists who moved right in response to the Left's moral and intellectual bankruptcy.

Remember there is a reason we stopped 50 miles from Baghdad. Iraq has no air force to do recon of our lines so they have to send out small units to probe...and they get creamed when they do..
We stopped were we did so that we put enough space between the RG and Baghdad that they can't easily fall back into the city.....our planes are probably between the RG units and Baghdad...

oh no..Rita Cosby coming up..now we get to hear about all her sources. I'm going to try to count how many times she says that,LOL! I've noticed she just loves letting everyone know that she has high-placed, confidential sources. Funniest report she ever did was when she spoke on the phone to Yassar Arafat when he was being besieged in his compound. She was so breathlessly self-congratulatory for that "get" I thought she would have an orgasm in her anchor chair!

Rummy stuck it to some reporter the other day effectively calling her a liar. When he says "I never said that", you can be sure he's correct and any source (if there is a source) speaks with forked tongue.

I was reading a thread on here a little while ago about some light aircraft flying over our troops yesterday.

They show a rectangle in the diamond instead of w/out the X inside. I am assuming that this shows "the division" is now in reality a brigade.

Bill Kristol is the son of Irving Kristol and Gertrude Himmelfarb.
If my memory serves correctly, they were marxists/leftists when Bill was young, but they have both been prominent in the neo-conservative movement for 30 years. Their skepticism of leftist causes was born largely out of the Great Society of LBJ.

did you just here Brett Baier's "report": senior military officials tell him that baghdad will fall from the "inside out", not as a result of forces outside the city. sounds like we still have the "wishful thinkers" in charge at the pentagon.

Or that whoever dropped a dime on Saddamn's location that first night still has access to a phone...
To: oceanview
I didn't hear. Although I have FOX on, a lot of my attention is on setting up a computer and trying to stay on top of this thread. Wishful thinking dies hard.

Green we won't launch a attack on Baghdad until those RG divisions are below 50%......so we could be seeing a week of heavy bombing in and around Baghdad before another unit moves forward. I think the focus will shift to the south for a few days ....mopping up.

Is that a Corp up near that airfield we took the other day...??? If you mean in the west then yes. Much speculation on this thread earlier about which one.
