Well, you know that he was calling for suicidal volunteers like the Palestinians, just a few weeks ago. The more I think about what he intends to do with those planes the more curious I become. Is he saving them for something? He has not even tried to get one in the air Why not? Is he going to create an environmental nightmare with them on his way out, if he is still alive? I just know that he is not saving them just to be nice.

You misunderstand. Saddam can't fly a piper cub. His pilots have not been willing to go up. You know, it is a lot easier to coerce one guy in a pickup truck with another guy in that truck with an AK, than it is to coerce a pilot at 15,000 feet alone in a Mirage. The last time he ordered many of them up, they flew to Iran. Because they preferred bugging out to eating a sparrow from an F-15.
