I'm sure that there are many of us who know that we are winning, but just don't say anything. I do get depressed, however, when people wrongly assume that because we haven't "won" the war in a week that we're somehow not doing well. We've made historic progress in this war, and the outcome is simply a matter of "when."

It must be hard having parents on the opposite end of the political spectrum, but it's good to know that you're standing for truth. I'm sure it's wonderful to have a spouse to strengthen you.

Be patient and kind always -- the truth has a funny way of showing itself on it's own. I, for one, will be glad when this war is over and we see the red faces of the anti-war crowd when the brutality of the Iraqi regime is known in totality, or near-totality. It's possible we'll never know the depravity of that regime, especially since we haven't experienced it first-hand.

I am a realist, however, and I know that some people will never be convinced. My hope is that your parents will come on board one day.

I'd like to see the video, but at this point, it might imperil the lives of those on film.

I haven't heard this kind of turn-around by other peace shields. They have their complaints, but I haven't read of any of them having this kind of epiphany.

I am currently listening to an Assyrian Iraqi on Chicago radio. He has family in Baghdad and he says they are cheering our troops and the sound of our bombs. He reiterated the thoughts of the author of this article--some innocent lives may be lost, but the ultimate goal of freedom for their people is worth the risk.

He and other Assyrian Iraqis are holding a Pro-America rally in Chicago tomorrow. No doubt there will be the anti-war protestors who think that they, in their arrogant ignorance, don't have a clue exactly who they are supporting!
