Isn't western Atlantic Avenue (not far from Brooklyn side of the Williamsburg Bridge) heavily Lebanese? Both Christian and Muslim? Just asking.

Atlantic Ave. is the Gaza Strip of New York, with the largest Arab population (other than Detroit) in the US of A. It is closer to the Brooklyn Bridge than the Williamsburg, but only a few miles nonetheless.

Broadway and the area south and southwest of it is Hassidic. Monday night when I took the subway back to Manhatten over the bridge from Peter Lugars, we were met by troops who searched each car before letting the subway go on.

Pharmboy is right. Many Arabs have businesses along Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. Don't know if they're mostly Lebanese.

This is in close proximity to three bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges.

There was a terrorist murder on the Brooklyn Bridge a few years ago. A man named Rashid Boz, I believe a Palestinian living in Brooklyn, shot into a school van carrying Jewish students. One boy was killed and another seriously maimed. At first the perp was characterized as a 'lone nut,' but I believe the incident has recently been re-classified as a terrorist attack.
