We should also acknowledge the Australians, who risk lives to liberate a country half a world away. When it matters -- World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf, now Iraq -- Australia is there.
Mr. Dole, a former Senate Majority Leader, was the 1996 Republican candidate for president.

An interesting ,concise, asessment by one of the good guys.

My wife, Sen. Elizabeth Dole, is proposing that he receive a Congressional Gold Medal for his support. Well, I for one never agreed with Tony Blair on anything! Still, I would definately agree to a medal of courage and character under fire.
Tony Blair has impressed me to no end. Now if we could just get him to an exercist and drive the Socialist out of him...
And Spain! They really came through for us too, considering their resources. I was wondering if I was ever going to take my wife to Europe but the list of friends has grown pretty long... and who cares about France? Why would I go out of my way to visit a country where the dark mysteries of personal hygiene yet evades it's populace?.

When Bob Dole puts out a report card, Bob Dole gets it pretty much right, and Bob Dole has the military gravitas to make Bob Dole's words have meaning even to people who don't like Bob Dole because Bob Dole often says what Bob Dole thinks regardless of what people who don't like Bob Dole think.

Spain and Italy will be our next European visits!!! Portugal also!!

Bob Dole did get it pretty much right, but Stay the course thinks Bob Dole cut the Democrats way too much slack with a B-. Considering that fewer than half of the Democrats in Congress voted to authorize the use of force in Iraq, and 1 in 5 House Democrats didn't even vote to express support for the troops, Stay the course gives them a big fat F.

William Clinton: (incomplete) Student is frequently absent, inattentive, or distracted. Bill apprears capable of satisfactory work, but typically fails to hand in assigments or is dishonest in his efforts.

Imagine if Bob Dole had been taking Viagra back when he was running for president. He would have blown Clinton out of the water!!!

Bill has been caught cheating on numerous occasions and also spends too much looking at the girls. To completee his grade, he will be required to read "The Light and the Glory" and "From Sea to Shining Sea" by Peter Marshall.

A Congressional Gold Medal for Tony Blair is a great idea! He may have a wide socialist streak, but he's sacrificed more than I would ever expect from any politician.

I recently visited Prague (on my honeymoon). Prague must be one of the loveliest and most interesting cities in the world. The cuisine is outstanding, the local beers are better than just about anywhere else, and prices vary from reasonable to downright cheap (a pint of premium local beer costs like a dollar). And the people are well educated and very nice (except for the rude museum employees who still think it's a Communist country), and you can smell capitalism and freedom in the air. God bless the Czechs!
