Country Radio: Darryl Worley Up, Dixie Chicks Down
Billboard Magazine ^ | 3/27/03 | Jonathan Rosen

Following negative comments made in London about U.S. President George W. Bush by the Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines, country radio stations have shunned the group's "Travelin' Soldier" enough to force it completely off of Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks roundup, where it was No. 1 just two weeks ago. Well surely the Dixie Chicks can come up with a hate-Bush song that will put them back on the charts. Surely the public feels as they do that he is an embarrassment while they are true Texas representatives to the world.

Surely the world sees Bush as they do. Or, could it be that many, many Americans love this president and, since he does not take the time to defend himself, we have to do it for him.

A nice piece of news. But I still can't help but think that this Maines b-aitch took 2 innocents down with her. Did the other two women share her odious sentiments?
