Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Apache pilot states "first deliberate attack" "things went as expected" "a couple of accidents due to brown out conditions (landing/takeoff)" also said something about the long-bow variant has the ability to make the job easier for the Air Force (target data sharing I think)...

Don't forget to include the speech Peach and I gave links to (you'll see, as we pinged you).
If I run across any other clinton quotes in the same vein, believe me I will let you know immediately.

YAY! Maybe he lurks here! I just sent my e-mail to Fred and Mort. I quoted the appropriate paragraphs and gave both the source and date of publication. Maybe they will discuss this!
MSNBC: US believes 200 Fedayeen in building hit in F-15E strike.
To: Timeout
To its credit, the Bush administration was very, very careful not to say or even imply that Gulf War II would be a breeze. The only major figure who did was the immediate ex-president, William J. Clinton. Two weeks ago, he said, "This war is going to be over in a flash." I love Jay Nordlinger. Excellent find!
I'm even on a Nordlinger ping list, but with all my yakking today if I was pinged it may be buried.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

If I am not mistaken, I have read on this forum recently that not only did Clinton say that, he said that the war would be MUCH easier because of all the "work" he did during his administration.
Anybody remember that?

200 Fedayeen x 72 Virginians = a lot of eternally-tortured Islamists.
