Are you all having a tough time getting real news like I am? I cannot find recent stuff that makes sense from anywhere on the net. TV is no good, obviously, since every time a guy in pyjamas and a mustache takes a potshot at some marines we are "bogged down" or under a "strong counterattack", Unfortunately CENTCOMM just shows well whitewashed stuff. I want to find out what's going on, objectively. Anybody have any suggestions?

India doesn't need to use these 1950s era Soviet hand me downs. America and Britain need to attend to bringing India over to the Allied side. India is the natural enemy of the Muslim world and China and would be a invaluable ally in southern Asia. Colin Powell, Dick Cheney, Condoleeza Rice, and Donald Rumsfeld, along with their British equivalents, need to spend lots of time in India and offer them modern American and British aircraft, tanks, and military technology, and ultimately, military alliance.

During the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln was supposed to have said that he would like to have the Lord on his side, but he had to have Kentucky on his side. India may be as crucial in what may be a new division of the world's powers in our time.

These T-55's look to have the NATO 105MM fitted.

Best way to tell T-55 from T-62 is to look at the fume extractor on the barrel. The T-55 has it out towards the muzzle; the T-62 has it closer to the turret.

If the Indian Army's tankists have the usual tendency to cover flaws and faults with a fresh coat of paint when inspection or parade time comes around, that's not to say that they're not top-notch tankers of the finest kind.

There are some real serious and experienced tankers in those Indian regiments.

Lt. Col. Hanut Singh, MVC of 17 Poona Horse with his Centurion tank, Kooshab. The regiment is one of the most decorated in the Armoured Corps and in 1965 it had already been awarded with one PVC, only to win another in 1971 at the Battle of Basantar in which 66 Pakistani tanks were claimed to have been destroyed.

The frantic convulsive movements of Pakistani tanks caught in the open by Hunters from the Indian Air Force (IAF) in the battle of Longewala. The insert shows three destroyed Pakistani tanks.
