Are you all having a tough time getting real news like I am? I cannot find recent stuff that makes sense from anywhere on the net. TV is no good, obviously, since every time a guy in pyjamas and a mustache takes a potshot at some marines we are "bogged down" or under a "strong counterattack", Unfortunately CENTCOMM just shows well whitewashed stuff. I want to find out what's going on, objectively. Anybody have any suggestions?

Unfortunately for those worried about what's going on, there are no public reports from active engagements.

There was a series of short movies shown in theaters for years after WW II called "The Big Picture." Later they were shown on TV. It is impossible for most of those participating in various battles to see how it all fits together. You might know this forest, that beach, a river crossing, a Pacific island, but what is happening on another front would be a world away. It won't be until this is over that most things come out, and some things won't come out for years. Tactical techniques and weapons could be censored for a long time until it just isn't important to anyone but historians.

I work during the day, don't have cable so I'm stuck with ABC, CBS, PBS and some Spanish channel.

NOTHING on the war.

Hell, ABC is showing mens freaking FIGURE SKATING.

HEY, THERE'S A WAR ON...GIVE US SOME NEWS!!!
