Personally I find the Centcom briefings informative. Screw the press. These briefings are for American citizens to receive information. Not to entertain the press.

Anyone else notice there are always booms of some kind during Shep's report?

One of the problems with the briefings is that the reporters are so lazy and ill informed that they ask such stupid questions (at least when they are not using the question as a forum for personal commentary).

The Centcom briefings give the liberal press the opportunity to show their bias to the whole world. It's priceless. Same thing for C-SPAN, where hateful Democrats call in on the Republican line pretending to be disgruntled conservatives, or call in on the "Others" line pretending to be anti-GOP independents. These tactics are causing them to lose independent/undecided voters.

I like to watch to see the stupid reporters one up eachother on how DUMB they are!

Personally I find the Centcom briefings informative. I think these press guys are beside themselves with jealousy over their colleagues who are embedded with the troops - that's where the action is and these guys know it.
Tough luck, guys. Live with it.
