Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

The story about who it was that started this "gonna be quick war" nonsense. It was out lovely former president. (now gonna keep track of how many people answer you. hehe)

I'm so tired of the liberal media trying to equate Saddam with the President and/or Rumsfeld. "If Saddam lies, so does Rumsfeld"..blah, blah, blah, blah.

Jim R. has asked that these threads remain free of chitchat. And, since I'm the biggest offender doing it tonight, I'll shut up now.

"Is that the "bunker buster"?...Maybe they've discovered what underground tunnel Saddam's hiding in?"I was listening to NBC news and they said they think it hit an Iraqi amunition compound, therefore the loud explosion.

And floating to their doom via Allied air power, I'll surmise?

Well, I was just about to answer altura, but you beat me to it. So I guess you can't count my post!

Nah, I missed it. Had to go chase my trash cans down the street (wind is doing about 40 MPH out there).
It was really good. He slammed the NYT, and LA Times for covering their front page war coverage with an editorial slant. He was pretty fired up about it.

Jeez, I gotta go back to at least watchin a little local news at 4am when I get up. My tv wakes me for work in the morn and I usually have it tuned in to local news. Last 9 days I've had it on FoxNews. I'm afraid I'm gonna miss something in Iraq, and things are dropping out of the sky in my own back yard!!!

Vallely bugs me a bit because he goes on radio with Batchelor & Alexander and states point blanks that his sources tell him saddam was killed the first night, yet he never repeats that on any other show. Why?
To: Right_in_Virginia
Well, I am sorry he isn't a Mel Gibson type, but he is a reporter for the Telegraph, which is conservative, and he is talking about how BBC is so full of liberals that they don't even realize they are biased. This is a good discussion.

The press are egotistical & under the delusion that they are the story not the troops. I'm surprised that they haven't started to complain about their living conditions in Quater and that there are no 5 star restaurants - just like in Crawford. Poor little crybabies.
