Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I see that from time to time, usually turnes ou to be a bird. (I hate that cuz I get a little excited thinking that their radar is down and were bombing them.)

By the way. That thing about Clinton referring to this as being a quick war. I e-mailed that story to all sorts of local media, and CNN. Heard back from WISN radio, and they thanked me.

I am a UPS employee. We have over 1,000 employees that have been called up and are now on active duty. I am not at all surprised by this move as UPS is one of the most employee friendly companies in the world.

Yeah... the cam freaked out, so maybe it was a goof. We loved the first day or so when the birds were flying and people were emailing fox... did you see that go across the cam, was it a bomb. I even got caught on a few; my son made sure to ridicule me for awhile.

I really do not remember for sure. Sorry. I just thought that it all had to be cleared, so didn't think about it.

"umm the BBC gives opinions more than facts"
This morning on BBC World Service, they were complaining about how two months ago Rumsfeld testified to Congress that he wanted his troops to be able to use pepper spray in Iraq in certain specific instances. The BBC guy was outraged at American hypocrisy--imagine--us using "chemical weapons"!

Your post reminded me of a funny conversation I had with a friend today. He has a buddy that drinks a little too much, and he told him that he was going to sneak by his house one night and take his flag down in front of his house and fly an Iraqi flag in it's place!

Cameron's sources think Sadaam is alive and well and living in the underground bunkers and tunnels beneath Baghdad. Sadaam is still running the country and the military. He also said they think one of Sadaam's sons was killed in the Wednesday night strike. Not sure which but I think it was Qusay.
Now there are just as many reports that say Sadaam is dead or seriously wounded. So who knows?

I do a lot of shipping with UPS at our company because of the way they treat their employees and the way the drivers treat the customers. When employees are happy, they treat customers so much better. My daily pickup guy is a doll (and it isn't just the shorts cause it is snowing here, they are all bundled up, hehe).

Thank you.

Okay, I am back on this thread for the night. Too much trashing going on out there on the "other" threads.

Shep is doing a report on the protesters, he said he expected them to nbe outside of FNC today...then he said he was hoping they would be outside today. HAHA maybe he wanted to hit some with his car!!
To: Fledermaus
Well...maybe Saddam is still alive and kicking. Remember what Stormin Norman said about his military expertise?

The drivers are great people. They work their tails off and are paid very well. I'm just a corporate bean counter (actually on the Logistics side of the business) but I know that the drivers are the face of the company to the customer.
Thanks for your business! :-)
