Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Even so he seems biased.

Thanks Howlin! 560 did you say? That's not the one I was thinking of but it's a good one anyway! :)) When I get a chance (I'm working at the moment and this time is my 10 minute break) I'll find the pic and put a link to it.

pitinkie - is that reporter in Baghdad? I'm imagine that along with his minders, these bombs are freaking him out.
To: osires13
Several hundred Lebanese Hizballah volunteers for Saddams army are on their way to Baghdad They'll need to come through our forces in the desert.
If my wild guess is correct, that would be the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force.
They'll be late arriving in Baghdad.

SH status coming from Carl Cameron
after days of analysis, US Govt is sure Saddam is ALIVE, moving around in underground bunkers, still in command. Iraq is preparing for the battle of Baghdad, troops are moving into all around the city. SH Videos were in fact prerecorded, but probably taped only hours before airing.
Quasy(SP) SH son , US Govt has little knowledge that he has been in charge of anything, believes that the body brought out from the rubble was Qusay..he seems to have gone missing
To: Dog
Ahhh, but Qusay is missing, and they think he may have been the body on the guerny after the first strike.
To: pitinkie
Thanks again for the link, noen of them have been working in the past. but,
it's time for this old man to head of to dream land with his wife . . .
I wish all of you a good night.
Prayers for our fallen and for the soldiers and thier families. Prayers as well for the innocent Iraqi's - may they be freed soon with a minimum of casualites.
God Speed
To: mhking
It is looking like that body on the stretcher was Quasay....he hasn't been heard from since the opening night on that hit on the bunker..

That reporter, I think who is called Chris Jumpelt is German and has consistently been Pro-Iraqi in his reports.
