Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I kind of like it...I hate when I think something is live and it isn't. Although he doesn't need to say it every 4 seconds.

Ah, the Minister of DisInformation is alive.. calling us idiots and laughably claiming that they downed 198 cruise missles... Anyone wanna buy a bridge?
He's getting hysterical. Don't worry. Help's on the way. Soon, he can have an Allied tranquilizer.

Ha ha ha. You'll have to fight my mother over Ricky boy. I was talking to her on the phone the other night and she said, "I have to go, Rick is on." Thanks a lot, Mom....

Please note MissMarple has sourced the "quick and easy" to none other than Bill Clinton, speech in London, 3/8(?)/03 in support of Tony Blair.
Until Miss Marple's point today I had forgotten.
Glad you remembered that Clinton claimed that because he had weakened Iraq we would not see much resistance; that it would be quick and easy. It seems to me that Clinton thinks of everything in terms of women. What is quick and easy and can't resist him. Pathetic twisted man.

You got the right idea on the bombing. They can be penetrated, but it has to be done layer by layer, hiting the same spot over and over, digging deeper and deeper each time. The tunnels have doors as you go through them. They absorb the explosion, so if you're in a differnt chamber, you may feel the earth move under your feet, but you can come out unscathed.
