Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

OK, thank you. I didn't know, which is why I asked.

I believe this is a media-originated rumor as our supply lines are being reported as 'spread thin'. They all seem to have the same talking points on a daily basis.

US ambassador walked out of the Un when the Iraqhole started talking about us exterminating Iraqi's and such.

Since we are close to the end of this page, I'm posting a picture.

This supply line problem is a strawman the media is throwing out.We should have kept a list of all the "strawman" talking points.

"Very faint thuds in the background.."
Thats the sound you hear when the Blix hits the fan.
To: Dolphy
LOL. This is what happens when one is forced to have lunch with a liberal...I lost my sense of reality:) LOL. Well, out of all the units in the field, and a very complex deployment, I would not be surprised if a few of our troops have supply inventories that aren't ideal. But they are not at risk in any way shape or form.
You know we're doing well when the only scab the liberals can pick is an irrelevant shortcoming.
To: Howlin
Don't know how true it is .. but Sky News reported the other night that we going to send troops down by the Iran boarder as a precautionary

I hear it better with both cameras going (I don't know why). But you hear a swish and then the thump. It could be a mortar or a 57mm AA gun.

FYI, France , via PNN-Paribas bank in Pairs, is the currentr custodian of the $40 billion of Iraqi money earmarked for the oil for food programCan France keep the money if we don't use the UN ? If that program is really investigated maybe they would not have control.

It's really sad. This very area where civilization as we know it started. To see it fall so far.

Yeah!

BTW, I heard on CNN that that figure of 5 to 10 days to get to Baghdad came from the Iraqis press conference this morning.
You know, the one Saddam didn't attend. :-)

Iraq accused US of trying to exterminate Iraqi people... If we were trying Baghdad would become East Texas after about 2 days of missile strikes.

(We are crushing our enemies, seeing him driven before us and hearing the lamentations of the liberal)

What if...the US immediately establishes a temporary government(regional) in Umm Qasr to establish the city. Then the same in Al Nasariyah and then in Basra. Each city as they go...That would give everyone a tangible result of what we are accomplishing. The psychological benefit from that would be immeasurable. Following that, we knock out Iraqi TV for good, and broadcast scenes from the liberated cities into Baghdad using the same frequency. Watch that reaction!!!
